Pentek PCC-212 replacement scale reduction filter with hexametaphosphate (NaPO3)6 crystals that fits into any 10" filter holder preventing the build-up of scale and rust. The hexametaphosphate crystals act on calcium and magnesium molecules (commonly known as salts) preventing them from joining together to form calcium carbonate CaCO3. Pentek PCC-212 is suitable for mains water with a total hardness of up to 25°f or 14°d or 250ppm CaCO3
It is an ideal and economical solution for professional equipment without many requirements or for domestic use in areas with salt problems. At the same time, it protects the network from corrosion by keeping a neutral to alkaline pH of 6.5-9.0

Important: The hexametaphosphate crystals (NaPO3)6 have nothing to do with the so-called "quartz or polyphosphate filters" that are available on the Greek market. Polyphosphate or quartz is not edible and is not suitable for drinking water.
