Doulton HCP Double Countertop Water Filter with Doulton Nitrate and Doulton Ultracarb Replacements

Doulton HCP Double bench top filter bag with first stage nitrate reduction filter and second stage chlorine, organic and volatile compound, pesticide, cyst and heavy metal reduction filter.

This system is recommended in areas with increased levels of nitrates (NO3) in the water up to 50mg/l. Nitrates as well as nitrogen fertilizers come from agriculture as their reckless use led them to the water table. Nitrates when consumed by the human body a small percentage is converted into nitrites which create nitrosamine, one of the strongest carcinogenic compounds. They also cause a change in hemoglobin to methaemoglobin, which does not sufficiently carry oxygen in our body.

We should point out that the American legislation for the nitrate content in water is 10mg/lt, while in Greece the limit is 50mg/lt. In any case, it would be good to have a water analysis done.

1st Stage:

Special Doulton Nitrate filter to reduce NO3 Nitrates.
Contains WRAS certified nutritional anionic resin to reduce nitrates in water.
Doulton Nitrate is capable of reducing nitrate values even to 0mg/lt. This depends on the initial nitrate values in the water. It would be good to replace the filter if nitrate levels increase after the filter with values above 10mg/lt. Usually for nitrate levels in Greece it is recommended to change from 4 to 6 months depending of course on the initial prices and consumption.
