The HI701 Checker®HC (Handheld Colorimeter) is a simple, accurate and economical way to measure free chlorine. Free chlorine is the active form of chlorine used to disinfect drinking water, swimming pools and spas, and vegetable wash water. Free chlorine in the water is also harmful to a reverse osmosis membrane and must be monitored for removal from the source water before use.
