The water hardness meter helps us to know how hard our water is.
Water hardness has several units of measurement (French degrees ºf, German degrees ºdH, mg/l, ppm, CaCO3)
The most common is the German degree, however the package has a conversion table as you will see in the photo.
Applications: In water softeners, reverse osmosis of all kinds, Ho.Re.Ca solutions and in general in cases where it is necessary to know the hardness of the water.
Method of Use
- Rinse the dispenser container well
- Fill the dispenser with water to exactly 5ml
- We start and pour one drop of the solution into the doser, stirring it. We will notice that the water in the dispenser turns red. Each drop translates into one German degree.
- As soon as our meter turns green, we stop. The total number of drops of the solution we poured is the total number of German degrees. BC in 10 drops it turned green, so our water has a hardness of 10 ºdH.
